On January 26, gave the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan a reception in keeping with the motto “SOCAR – Energy of Azerbaijan”. The reception did the campaign “Azerbaijan – Land of Magic of Colours” in Davos during the World Economic Forum held.

The event were holding by Rovnag Abdullayev, President of SOCAR. Mr. Abdullayev informed participants about SOCAR and Azerbaijan, he also explained their position in relation to ensuring of energy supply to Europe and die diversification of supply routes of oil and gas. More Greetings came from Günther Oettinger, EU – Commissioner for Energy, and Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister of Georgia, which turned out Azerbaijanis role as a reliable partner in the supply of powers. Among the guests yourself were the Azerbaijani Minister A. Abbasov, S. Sharifov, and H. Baghirov, head of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA). J. Hajiyev, executive boards members of Deutsche Bank, Thyssen Group, Lukoil, RWE, BNP Paribas Blackstone, Edison, Ernst & Young Sport and other well-known international companies, banks and media also representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and parliamentarians of the European states and other officials.

On January 28, there was a reception for the guests of the World Economic Forum on behalf of the Azerbaijani delegation and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. During the Forum the economic and cultural potential of Azerbaijan were highlighted by a accompanying advertising campaign. In the following, the guests had opportunity to taste dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine.

Die Veranstaltung wurde von Rovnag Abdullayev, dem Präsidenten der SOCAR, eröffnet. Herr Abdullayev informierte die Teilnehmer über SOCAR und Aserbaidschan und erläuterte deren Standpunkt in Bezug auf die Sicherung der Energieversorgung Europas und die Diversifikation der Versorgungsrouten von Erdöl und -gas. Weitere Grußworte sprachen Günther Oettinger, EU-Kommissar für Energie, und Nika Gilauri, Premierminister Georgiens, die Aserbaidschans Rolle als zuverlässigen Partner in der Energieversorgung herausstellten. Unter den Gästen befanden sich die aserbaidschanischen Minister A. Abbasov, S. Sharifov, und H. Baghirov, der Leiter der International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) J. Hajiyev, sowie Vorstände der Deutsche Bank, Thyssen Group, LUKOil, RWE, BNP Paribas, Blackstone, Edisson, Ernst & Young und anderen namhaften internationalen Konzernen, Banken und Medien sowie Repräsentanten des Internationalen Währungsfonds (IMF), Parlamentarier der europäischen Staaten und andere Offizielle.

Am 28. Januar fand ein Empfang für die Gäste des World Economic Forum im Auftrag der aserbaidschanischen Delegation und der Heydar Aliyev-Stiftung statt. Während des Forums wurde das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Potenzial Aserbaidschans großflächig durch eine begleitende Werbekampagne hervorgehoben. Im Kongresszentrum von Davos wurde eine Ausstellung der aserbaidschanischen Kunst und Kultur, insbesondere der berühmten Teppiche präsentiert; dort fand auch der Empfang statt. Die Gäste hatten dabei Gelegenheit, Spezialitäten der aserbaidschanischen Küche zu probieren.
