Information event on #SaveAzeHostages at the Brandenburger Tor
Berlin – a city that plays an important role out of a historical and contemporary perspective for the fate of Germany and the whole world. Here in the heart of this important city the ASN organized on 29th November an information event on the latest incidents in the Nagorno – Karabakh conflict. On the 12th of July 2014 the Armenian forces imprisoned the three Azerbaijanian Shahbaz Guliyev (46) Dilgam Askerov (54) and Hassan Hassanov. While Hassan Hassanov was killed by the Armenian separatists the other two are still taken as hostages.
To create awareness and solidarity among the German public the ASN met with his friends and
members from 13 to 15 o’clock in front of the Brandenburg Gate and talked to passers – by and
informed them about the current situation in Nagorno – Karabakh. Photographs were taken of
ASN-members and passers who were expressing their solidarity by holding up sign, which were saying “#SaveAzeHostages“. We had many interesting discussions and could explain to people, who were not familiar with the events in Nagorno Karabakh the problematic situation. We got a very positive feedback for our commitment.
ASN will not be limited to this action; ASN will try to inform people all over Germany about the
Nagorno Karabakh. We already started similar projects in Italy and Czech Republic.
We thank all participants for their support.
