ASN-Italy: Opening Ceremony in Rome April, 9th 2015

Azərbaijan Student Network (ASN) has launched its new branch office in Rome, Italy. The organization of students and young graduates from Azerbaijan and other countries announced its opening on April 9, 2015 with a ceremony held in Marriott Grand Hotel Flora in Rome. More than two hundred guests from Azerbaijan, Italy, Germany and Czech Republic including Vaqif Sadiqov, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Italy, and Nazim Aliyev, ASN Chairman, attended the ceremony.
In his opening speech, Vaqif Sadiqov highlighted the importance of the organization in establishing efficient coordination amongst Azerbaijani students in Europe, involving them in the activities beneficial for them in particular and for the whole country in general, and wished success to the organization in the future. In his turn, Nazim Aliyev specified the goals and tasks of ASN.

He made clear that since its establishment the 1win Azerbaijan Student Network worthily represents Azerbaijan in Europe with a long range of academic and cultural events it has organized in various European cities, and acts as a bridge between nations.
In their speeches, the Rector of Rome University of Fine Arts Fabio Mongelli, Professor of Sapienza University of Rome Daniel Pommier, Board Member of Alta Roma SCPA Clara Tosi Pamphili, Study Assistant at Pontifical Council for Culture Lech Piechota praised the increasing relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, and valued the significance of the non-governmental organizations in accelerating the mutual contacts between the two nations.
The speeches were followed by performances of the Azerbaijani opera singer Maharram Huseynov and saz player Petra Nachtmanova.
