an exhibition about our countries finding their way for independence.

In 2018 Azerbaijan has marked the 28th anniversary of the Black January tragedy that happened in Baku in 1990, Georgia has marked 29th and Lithuania 27th of the events in Tbilisi and Vilnius respectively.

The photo exhibition that was open for Lucerna palace visitors for a week had an official closing event on January 19, 2018 in Prague’s Lucerna Palace’s cafe.

The exhibition showcased historical photos of the Soviet troops invading Azerbaijan, Georgia and Lithuania.

Mr. Farid Shafiyev, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic spoke about the events of 20th January of 1990 and touched upon the struggle for independence of the Azerbaijani people. The Ambassadors of Georgia and Lithuania to the Czech Republic also delivered speeches and shared their views on the past events.

Students and members of the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Lithuanian community attended the closing ceremony.
